According to the recent data taken out by Tata Institute of Social Science, Mumbai only 10% of fresh graduates and 25% of Business Management Course pass outs are fit to get employed. It is also said that the majority of students are pursuing higher studies and becomes ‘industry ready’. It’s truly a shocking fact.

When we were going through the Survey, we spoke to Mr. Sunil Gideon, Head, Corporate Services and Placements, WLC College he said, employability skills are the basic requirement for any good placements. It is very important to ensure the personal and professional growth and it returns high at the workplace. The skills that are required Business Ethics, Confidence, General Awareness, Team Skills, Domain Knowledge and Work Experience. Regarding the implementation of these professional skills he said it can be done in some other ways like implementation during the classroom level, including the Cutting Edge Skills in the curriculum, assessment by the employers during internships and traineeships, overall assessment of student for academics and employability skills.
When asked that how does WLC trains the students to prepare them for the industry placement. Training and grooming is done from very first day and it prepares to face the industry. The students are taught to have managing and developing self in terms of time management and is timely hand in assignments, working in team, communicating, applying numeracy, technology application, applying creativity.
The ‘Cutting Edge Training’ also aims to aim for the further preparing the students of WLCI students for making the students industry ready. The other qualities that are required is the Online Communication for collecting information and ideas, Verbal Communication for effective Communication, Language and Personality for the better and specific communication, integrity for positive reputation, time and resource for the overall progressive results of the students.
Success is in a skills so students need a get good skills on their studies and after that the can do a perfect work.

ReplyDeleteMr.Sunil Gideon was right, we cant reach succes if we dont have courage to speak-up our idea even we have all skill in our hand. The power of communication and art to convience bussiness partner hold the key to succes. When we can explore our idea and can describe them to the people arround us just a matter of time, the succes will flow in our arm.

ReplyDeleteand give me also some idea to make place for me
I am totally agreed with the post.Actually, it is a very big problem for our students to gather enough knowledge of being professional in their student life.Mostly, they are after good marks, they are not so interested in new ideas. But technically they are growing fast.
ReplyDeleteHere is nice and true fact. Several students get their study from nice schools and colleges but they lack the proper knowledge for the employments. What the employer needs is only known by fewer people and they are only able to be placed in that post. The most important aspect is the communication skill.
